The commissioning of Sara Wenger Shenk as Moderator and Commemorating the Service of Richard Early

A worship service is planned to commission Sara Wenger Shenk as Virginia Mennonite Conference Moderator and commemorate Richard Early’s tenure as VMC Moderator.

When a moderator’s term ends and new moderator begins their role, a time of commemoration is dedicated at Summer Delegate Assembly to mark the leadership transition. Because this transition occurred separate from our Delegate Assembly, a special worship service has been created to install Sara and commemorate Richard’s service.
