Mission

Virginia Mennonite Conference equips pastors, lay leaders, and congregants for worship and service, and to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to neighbors near and far.

Mennonite Women of Virginia Conference

The Conference chapter of Mennonite Women USA, inviting women across generations, cultures, and places to share and honor our stories, care for each other, and express our prophetic voice boldly as we seek to follow Christ. Any woman who desires to connect with other Mennonite women through our publications, events and social media is a part of us. There is no membership. Mennonite women are diverse in age, ethnicity, geography and theology. We meet in Bible study groups, during seminars, mission and service groups, one-on-one in friendships, and at retreats. We are women who juggle work, family, and spiritual growth yet seek to be part of faith circles that fit our needs.

Annual Fall Retreat

DATE:  October 30 – November 1, 2026

LOCATION: Skelton 4-H Conference Center (on Smith Mountain Lake)

GUEST SPEAKER:  Rev. Shannon W. Dycus, EMU Interim President

MWV Retreat 2025 was a delightful weekend!  The worship, workshops and input sessions were thoughtful, challenging, encouraging and a blessing for all in attendance.  We shared stories with each other and learned how God does indeed weave our stories together to bless each other and those we interact with.  He is faithful and continues to write His story in each of us.  The weather also cooperated with beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures, and the Vesper service around an evening bonfire was the cherry on top!  

We hope you can join us for MWV Retreat 2026, and have the opportunity to spend the weekend with other women from across the region, to hear input from our speaker, worship together, and fellowship in God’s beautiful nature.  More details to follow!
