Intercultural Development Inventory
Credentialed leaders who have not yet taken the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) are encouraged to attend this training on Thursday, July 14, beginning at 12:00. RSVP to come. (Completion of the IDI is required for VMC credentialed leaders.)
Mennonite Women of Virginia Prayer Breakfast
Mennonite Women of Virginia will be having a prayer breakfast on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Trissels Mennonite Church’s fellowship hall from 6:45 – 8:15 a.m. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, hear updates about Elena and Freddy de Satalaya’s ministry in Peru and spend some time in prayer for them.
Trauma-Informed Care-giving
September 23, 2022 | The Leadership Enrichment Committee was drawn to this theme after two years of the challenges brought by the pandemic. During the crisis in leadership in VMC, persons have experienced trauma. We hope this space and theme will provide an opportunity to learn and heal and continue to be faithful followers of Jesus.

Worship, Singing, Scriptures & Prayers
February 17-19, 2023 | Join us for a VMC Leadership Enrichment Event. Our hope for this weekend is to focus on God and remember that God’s presence surrounds us at all times, to be grateful and loving people to each other and our neighbors, even when we are going through challenging times.
Peaceful Practices
Practicing healthy dialogue is an important part of our call to be peacemakers as a relevant Anabaptist witness to today’s world. In this workshop, Jes Stoltzfus Buller, author of MCC’s Peaceful Practices curriculum, will use stories and interactive learning to teach skills for understanding and engaging dialogue across difference.
Assemble for Worship
All Virginia Conference members are welcome to an opportunity to worship together without conference agenda, and build on our firm foundation, “that foundation is Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 3:11)
Mennonites and Race
A Lecture on Mennonites and Race: On May 10 at 7pm the Racial Justice Task Force invites you to a lecture from Caleb Schrock-Hurst on his Master’s Thesis Mennonites, Race, and Reconstruction: A Survey of Racial Attitudes in ‘The Herald of Truth,’ 1864-1897.
2023 Summer Assembly
Summer Delegate Assembly, July 13-15 at Park View Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, VA. The interim Conference Leadership Team is planning a rich feast of worship and reflection on the theme of “Jesus, be the center”—along with an invitation to return to “the love you had at first” (Revelation 2:4).

Assessment and Management of Suicide Risk webinar
At the end of this session, participants should be able to develop practical safety plans with demonstrated effectiveness for a person re-entering the community following hospitalization for serious suicide concerns. Speaker, Ken Yoder, worked in mental health services for 35 years in a variety of roles, primarily in staff development.
