Peaceful Practices
Practicing healthy dialogue is an important part of our call to be peacemakers as a relevant Anabaptist witness to today’s world. In this workshop, Jes Stoltzfus Buller, author of MCC’s Peaceful Practices curriculum, will use stories and interactive learning to teach skills for understanding and engaging dialogue across difference.

February 17-19, 2023 | Join us for a VMC Leadership Enrichment Event. Our hope for this weekend is to focus on God and remember that God’s presence surrounds us at all times, to be grateful and loving people to each other and our neighbors, even when we are going through challenging times.

Trauma-Informed Care-giving
September 23, 2022 | The Leadership Enrichment Committee was drawn to this theme after two years of the challenges brought by the pandemic. During the crisis in leadership in VMC, persons have experienced trauma. We hope this space and theme will provide an opportunity to learn and heal and continue to be faithful followers of Jesus.
Mennonite Women of Virginia Prayer Breakfast
Mennonite Women of Virginia will be having a prayer breakfast on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Trissels Mennonite Church’s fellowship hall from 6:45 – 8:15 a.m. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, hear updates about Elena and Freddy de Satalaya’s ministry in Peru and spend some time in prayer for them.
Intercultural Development Inventory
Credentialed leaders who have not yet taken the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) are encouraged to attend this training on Thursday, July 14, beginning at 12:00. RSVP to come. (Completion of the IDI is required for VMC credentialed leaders.)

Augsburger Lecture Series and Pastor Enrichment Event with Dr. Nancy E. Bedford
Dr. Nancy Elizabeth Bedford is the keynote speaker of EMU’s annual Augsburger Lecture Series. She will speak on the malleability, materiality and mission of theology. A pastors’ enrichment event will take place on Tuesday afternoon from 4-6 pm.
Mennonite Women of Virginia Annual Missions Day
Ladies, don’t miss our exciting Annual Missions Day, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a taste of cultural bread from Central Asia, then hear from a missionary serving there. We will spend time in worship, and share financially with love gifts for current missionaries and ministries through Virginia Mennonite Missions. Our time together will wrap up with lunch and fellowship together. See you there!
